A lot of new retirement communities are popping up near me, but I certainly did not expect to see this.

To the car, thank you. To the hour rule post, this was my most recent car spot and I figured it was on the level of some of your posts.

What county are you in? If you don’t mind me asking

Hmm, is it in the driveway because it doesn’t fit in the garage? It looks like it would be pretty close....

Oooh, an MV with aftermarket rims. They’re doing it right.

This looks like run-of-the-mill new construction, but I’m guessing it’s one of those age-restricted places (wide doors, flat entryways, etc)? They get special treatment because of reduced strain on schools and stuff like that.

Cobb. West and central are where the communities are popping up.

The driveways are small, so I’m assuming the garages are, too. My dad’s Canyon barely fits in my garage, and I live in a non-retirement community.

Ding ding ding! You nailed it. Because the local schools are so overpopulated, including the elementary school across the street, they had to put in a 55+ community. This community was just a horse farm. Right by this new community is a new neighborhood with homes that start in the $400’s. I drove through that yesterday, too, and there were lots of nice cars in the driveways. This part of town is changing.

My parents are in West Fulton in Roswell, so close to where they are.

Not really. They’re close to East Cobb. West Cobb, where these are, is by Paulding County.

They’re also building a lot in Cherokee county as well, most of it is less than 15 minutes from my parents.

I saw one of those on the road a few years ago and had no clue what it was. I Googled something like “car that looks like a London Taxi” and was led right to it.

I’ve only seen those in Austin being driven by the city bus service. I’m sure they are quite utilitarian, but boy, they sure are ugly. Nice wheels though.

You can’t even find them on cars.com. They’re that unique. If I didn’t pay attention to the automotive world in 2012, I wouldn’t know about these, either.
